Warmth

The weather today was looking rather lovely, I had no plans and no running kids around for a change. I took baby J to Aqua tots first thing but he wasn’t that keen on it today. When we got home it felt far too nice to be indoors so I grabbed the stale bread from the bread bin and a couple of handfuls of chicken feed and me and the little fella headed off to the park to feed the ducks. I decided to be good and walk the 15 minutes there instead of drive like I often do. I’m so lazy, I know! 

  The park was looking glorious in the sunshine, the bright yellows and oranges of the daffodils singing out loud for everyone to hear.

  
Unfortunately, before we got to the park gates, he’d fallen fast asleep so I decided to grab myself a nice cup of tea from the cafe. I sat outside and bathed in the sunshine for about an hour. It was such a perfect and peaceful time spent. I felt the warmth from the sun for the first time this year and it was so good.

  
Yes, that is crochet you see. I came prepared, God I’m getting good!

When he awoke, we went as planned to feed the ducks. They go mad for the chicken food.

  
I’ve just spotted the heart shape the ducks are making in the water there, can you see? Or is it just me? I do have a thing for hearts.

It was a lovely sunshiny, warm afternoon. Many more to come I hope.
